Hey sorry double dip the JU88C night fighter shown landed by mistake in England, pilot thought it was France. You can't imagine what a prize that was. Immediately the Boffins had chaff/duppel, and proof that the Germans were able to home in on Monica, the rear warning system on Brit night bombers. There is a story about how the Brits heard the JU88 flying around in the haze ( engines sound was unique ) so they turned on the field lights and the crew took the bait. It was the most important plane the Brits "shot down" in the entire war.

Surprised but not surprised that in 1947 , isreal needed planes to defend its self as a new country, it ordered upgraded spitfires from Britain, its mother country , but they sold spitfires to the country Israel was at war with , Egypt . So they went to a antisemitism country that they hated, and who was at war with during ww2 ,Austria /germany who made an upgraded stutga . Go figure

I believe that all the what ifs are a moot point. I think that the axis powers were in over their heads before the war even started and that the Disparity in access to resources Doom them right from the start. If you look at it an extremely comprehensive list of what countries and territories were affiliated with the axis versus the allies It's not even competitive.

Can you do a video on the Do 17 and a video on the FW 200? Ever since playing Their Finest Hour: The Battle of Britain computer game as a kid I've had an odd fascination with the DO 17. There's not a lot of videos, documentaries, or books on the DO 17. Which is fair as it really only served in the first half of the war and it was kind of a piece of junk 🙂.

I'm gonna stop you right there at the title. No plane could have saved Japan. Japan literally ran out of gas and the United States would have outnumbered them at least 6 to one no matter how good it was. We could send the modern Japanese Air Self Defense Force back to defend Japan's skies and the US still would have won the war because Japan in the 40s couldn't produce JP-8 to run the planes. Wars are won by economics, industry, and logistics, not who has the best toys.

Hs.129 B-2 early and maybe B-1 (or something near at that) have MK101 with 30 shells, in rare case can have 6 shells. B-2 middle and late have MK103 with 100 shells. Also exist one (or two, can't remember) experimental B-0 with 77mm SG113. Oher 14-15 planes B-0 with standart weapons.
